The WeXchange Women STEMpreneurs Competition 2022 is now accepting applications.

The competition aims to find Latin America and the Caribbean’s most inventive and dynamic women entrepreneurs in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) and link them with prospective funding possibilities.

If you are a woman who is the Co-Founder or a member of the leadership team (C-level) of a startup that is actively raising capital from pre-Seed to Series B, apply to be one of the 15 startups chosen to pitch in Miami on May 24 to investors from Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Mexico, the United States, and other international VC funds during “WeXchange: Connecting STEMpreneurs Women with Investors.”

This event will be held in conjunction with the VC Latam Summit, which will bring together the most influential venture capital investors from Latin America and Miami. This conference is being coordinated by nine national venture capital and private capital groups in the area.

On May 24, 15 women-led firms will be chosen to pitch their businesses to venture capital investors in Miami as part of the “WeXchange: Connecting Women STEMpreneurs with Investors” event. The VC Latam Summit, which brings together the most influential investors in the Latin American and Miami venture capital industries, will host this event. This conference is being coordinated by nine national venture capital and private capital groups in the area.
In addition to the WeXchange event, the selected businesses will attend a five-day hybrid Bootcamp hosted by Google, which will feature courses on technology, digital marketing, leadership, and capital raising.
The initial portion of this Bootcamp (80%) will take place digitally, with the last 20% taking place in person in Miami during the days leading up to the WeXchange event. The Bootcamp is separated into topic-based blocks, with all relevant corporate personnel asked to attend each block.
The reward for this competition comprises travel and hotel costs for the woman founder/co-founder or director (C-level) of the firm pitching.

WeXchange Women STEMpreneurs Competition | Eligibility Criteria

Open for:

Startups that include at least one woman on the founding or leadership team (C-level) will be eligible to apply and pitch.
Fintech, edtech, agtech, healthtech, biotech, e-commerce, transportation/mobility, logistics, digital security, cleantech, tourism, and SaaS for SMEs, among others, are examples of startups with a high technological component or where Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) are key components.
Startups having offices and activities in at least one Latin American and/or Caribbean countries.
Startups that have been legally incorporated.
Startups with regional/global scalable business strategies and great potential for social and/or environmental impact.
Startups that are in the process of obtaining funds, ranging from pre-seed through Series B funding rounds.
