Wellcome Award MSc in Health and International Development at LSE in UK 2022

For the academic year 2022/2023, the London School of Economics and Political Science is accepting applications for the Wellcome Award MSc in Health and International Development in the UK.

Wellcome Award MSc

A complete scholarship will be awarded to one student each year, for a period of three years, for entrance in 2020, 2021, or 2022 to the MSc in Health and International Development Program. These scholarships, which are funded by the Wellcome Trust, will help the top students who want to work in health-related social science research.

Worth of Scholarship

  • These scholarships are part of a grant secured from Wellcome to support the MSc programme.
  • The scholarship is worth up to £31,088 in total.
  • This will pay the whole program price, with the remaining funds available for living expenses.
  • Depending on the charge categorization, the amount left over for living expenses will vary. The stipend for a UK or EU fee candidate will be £17,000, while the stipend for an international fee candidate will be £9,344.
  • Scholarship awardees will also be eligible to apply for research money of up to £3,333 to help them with their dissertation research.

Wellcome Award MSc | Eligibility Criteria

  • All candidates for the MSc in Health and International Development program are eligible for this funding.
  • You may now apply for financing for the 2022 session after the first grant was made for the 2019 session.
  • The scholarships will be given out based on financial needs as well as academic performance.

How to Apply for the Wellcome Award MSc

To apply for LSE financing for programs starting in September 2022, you must complete the following steps:

  • Fill out an application for the program (See how to apply for graduate study at LSE)
  • Complete Section G: Personal Statement and submit your Graduate Financial Support Application Form through the Graduate Application Tracker. and you’ll be offered a spot (conditional or unconditional)
  • You do not need to fill out Section G: Personal Statement if you merely want to be considered for the Graduate Support Scheme.
  • After you’ve received an offer, the result of your Graduate Support Scheme application will be published on the application tracker.

Throughout May, June, and July 2022, successful candidates for additional LSE Scholarships or prizes, such as this one, will be informed by email.

The application deadline is April 29, 2022, at 5 p.m. UK time.
