USAID YouthPower2: Learning and Evaluation Youth Advisory Group – Call for Applications
Join the Youth Advisory Group for YouthPower2: Learning and Evaluation (YP2LE).
To join the next Youth Advisory Group, the YP2LE is looking for applications from motivated and engaged young leaders with an interest in and expertise in enhancing youth participation in programs and research (YAG).
YP2LE is a USAID-funded project that aims to develop and disseminate evidence on Positive Youth Development. YP2LE’s mission is to provide the knowledge, tools, and resources that youth program implementers, researchers, and young changemakers need to create high-quality, impactful, and long-lasting youth programs.
Objectives
The YP2LE Youth Advisory Group (YAG) is made up of five (5) young leaders who contribute their insights and knowledge to the project’s cross-cutting youth engagement goals and related activities. The following are some of the activities in which YAG members will participate:
Providing cross-cutting youth inclusion and engagement advice for YP2LE: The Young Advisory Group (YAG) will provide guidance on important topics, difficulties, and approaches to youth inclusion and engagement throughout YP2LE and its activities.
Contributing to research, with a focus on youth-led research; advising on youth engagement in YP2LE learning and mentorship activities; and helping to develop stronger protocols and processes for youth engagement in YP2LE events, policy-level consultations, youth councils, and with USAID country missions are all examples of this.
Advising and assisting USAID personnel on youth engagement knowledge and capacity building: YAG members will advise on and support the execution of a training series aimed to enable adults, especially USAID workers, to connect with young people more effectively and inclusively. The YAG will act as training co-facilitators and give feedback and ideas for the design and strategy of this training series.
Providing guidance on YouthLead material and outreach to young members: One of YouthLead.org’s goals is to offer resources and content that meet the needs and priorities of its over 13,000+ worldwide member network. These resources must be accessible and relevant to young people, especially in underserved areas (i.e., LAC, Asia, MENA, Eastern Europe). YAG members will advise YP2LE on how to convey to youth in diverse locations and languages what resources, services, and opportunities are available to them.
Participating in YP2LE events: Members may be asked to represent the YAG at important YP2LE activities.
Benefits
YAG members will be paid directly by YP2LE at a rate of US$15.00 per hour for up to 16 hours per calendar month. The YP2LE team will offer YAG members guidance on how to submit a monthly timesheet and invoice.
