Candidates must satisfy the following conditions to be eligible for British Council Scholarships at the University of Strathclyde:

Must be a woman from an eligible nation who works in the fields of science, technology, engineering, or mathematics.

Must aspire to be in a position of leadership in their community.

You must be enrolled in a course at the University of Strathclyde that qualifies.

Meet the University of Strathclyde’s English language requirement.

To follow and profit from a UK postgraduate taught course, you must be motivated and academically capable.

Using a means-test completed by the University of Strathclyde, demonstrate a case for financial help need.

Have completed all requirements for a bachelor’s degree that will allow the applicant to enroll in a postgraduate program at the university

In your application, you must show that you have a strategy and a desire to involve other women and girls in STEM in your own country.

Scholarship Benefits

Tuition fees
Up to 12-months monthly stipend at the rate of £1,133p/month
IELTS exam fee.
Return economy-class travel from home country to UK.
Visa and insurance/ NHS surcharge costs.
Ad hoc costs (heavy baggage allowance, etc.)
Where applicable, accompanying child allowance for scholars consistent with UK government scholarship allowance rates.
