UNIABUJA Vacation Notice – Following the two-month extension of the Academic Staff Union of Universities’ industrial action, the management of the University of Abuja (UNIABUJA) has ordered the institution’s closure till further notice.

The university’s Dean of Students Affairs, Dr. Umar Kari, released an official statement on Wednesday announcing the closure and instructing students to vacate their hostels within 48 hours of receiving the notification.

According to the statement, any student who wants to stay in the hostel should submit a request to the Dean of Affair with reasons, which will be allowed under specific circumstances.

“The action has become necessary since there is no compelling reason for students to remain on campus when lectures and other academic activities are not taking place.”

“As a result, students must evacuate their hostels within 48 hours of receiving this warning.”

“They are compelled to monitor regularly in order to be alert and aware of the school’s subsequent re-opening.
