The recipients of the award will get a $5,000 scholarship as well as a $5,000 grant for their hunger-related charity.
Eligibility for Stephen J Brady Stop Hunger Scholarship
All candidates must be enrolled in a recognized educational institution in the United States (from kindergarten through graduate school). All candidates must be between the ages of 5 and 25 by October 5, 2021.
Within the previous 12 months, all candidates must have proven an ongoing commitment to their community by conducting unpaid volunteer efforts addressing hunger in the United States.
All candidates must be United States citizens or permanent residents who live in the contiguous United States, Alaska, or Hawaii.
Non-family members must benefit from the applicant’s volunteer efforts.
If an application is chosen as a prospective national Stephen J. Brady Stop Hunger Scholarship winner, the student’s parent or legal guardian must sign an Affidavit of Eligibility and Assignment of Rights to affirm the student’s status as a winner.
Scholarship monies must be utilized for tuition and associated fees, books, supplies, and equipment at an eligible post-secondary educational institution.

Applications close on December 5, 2021. Winners will be notified in March 2022, and a list of all winners will be posted on www.HelpStopHunger.org in June.
