Radboud University PhD Position

For a 6-year term, you will have both teaching (40%) and research (60%) responsibilities as a Junior Lecturer/PhD Candidate. The post will lead to a PhD and a teaching certificate from a university (BKO).

In the Bachelor’s and Master’s programs in Psychology, you will be responsible for a variety of activities, including 1) tutoring research-related workgroups in the first year of the Bachelor’s program in Psychology, 2) supervision of third-year students in their Bachelor’s degree research project, which will be aligned with your own PhD research, and 3) supervision of Master’s theses in the Master’s program in Healthcare Psychology.

You will develop a varied variety of teaching abilities, including lecturing, over the course of six years.

This will allow you to get your university teaching certificate while working with a mentor.

We aim to develop our students as scientist-practitioners in Clinical Psychology, employing a strong scientific understanding of psychopathology and its treatment.

Students with a Master’s degree should be able to use evidence-based evaluation methodologies and therapeutic treatments.

You will be a member of the BSI’s Experimental Psychopathology and Treatment (EPT) research program as a Junior Lecturer/PhD candidate.

You’ll be accepted into the BSI Graduate School, which will help you with your research and training.

Because there is such a close link between research and teaching in this role, your research subject should seek to stimulate and pique students’ interests so that you may supervise their Bachelor’s and/or Master’s thesis projects on your topic.

This position will specifically focus on a self-selected topic within the EPT program’s main focus: Contributing fundamental scientific knowledge in the domain of abnormal psychology through experimental studies of cognitive, neuro-affective, biological, and decision-making processes in psychopathology.
