Postgraduate Research Scholarship at Sunway University 2022
Sunway University in Malaysia is accepting applications for the PGR Scholarship (Postgraduate by Research Scholarship) in 2022.
This is to encourage good candidates to enroll in Sunway University’s Masters or PhD by research degree programs and to give benefit and financial aid to an eligible applicant through a scholarship, consequently promoting enrolment in Sunway University research degree programs.
The Honourable Prime Minister of Malaysia, Dato’ Sri Haji Mohammad Najib bin Tun Haji Abdul Razak, formally founded the Jeffrey Cheah Foundation on March 18, 2010, in the presence of the Royal Patron, H.R.H. the Sultan of Selangor. The Sunway Education Trust Fund, which was formed in 1997 to formalize Sunway College’s position as a not-for-profit educational institution, has been replaced by this self-sustaining corporation, which was founded by the Founding Trustee, Tan Sri Dr. Jeffrey Cheah, AO. The institution’s surplus revenues are re-invested in scholarships, research, and the improvement of campus infrastructure.

- The scholarships vary from a half-tuition waiver to a full-tuition waiver.
Requirements for the Postgraduate Scholarship at Sunway University
- Applicants must fulfill all of the University’s entrance criteria for their selected program of study and have received an unconditional offer.
- Awards awarded to students under this plan will begin on the first day of enrolment and will persist for the remainder of the program, subject to good performance and development. Should the student’s behavior or performance be unsatisfactory, or if the student withdraws or is pulled from the program of study, the University maintains the right to withdraw the award at any time.
- Applicants who have received a conditional offer from the University may apply for a studentship or price waiver; however, any offer of a studentship or cost waiver is contingent on the candidate meets all of the program’s requirements.
How to Apply for the Postgraduate Scholarship at Sunway University
When applying for a Postgraduate Research Studentship, you must fill out the Postgraduate Research Studentship Application Form.
The application form must be submitted to the School for approval by the HOD and Dean.
The application deadline has yet to be determined.
