OxFID Global Youth Challenge for Human Rights Education in UK 2022

The Oxford Forum for International Development 2022 and its partners are seeking applicants for the OxFID Global Youth Challenge for Human Rights Education in the United Kingdom in 2022.

The goal of the forum is to encourage young people to talk about international development and to push them to come up with ideas in the field of human rights education.

To do so, you must first respond to the question.

How can youth and young people’s human rights education be implemented and improved by, for, and with them?

Worth of Scholarship

The World Programme’s goals, notably in its fourth phase, include:

  • promote human rights education to all youngsters, with a special focus on those who are disadvantaged or underprivileged;
  • encourage young people to take part in and lead human rights education programs;
  • In order to measure national success, identify important components and initiatives for youth human rights education.
  • Encourage collaboration on human rights, youth, education, sustainable development, and the 2030 Agenda at the local, national, regional, and international levels.

OxFID Global Youth Challenge | Eligibility Criteria

In keeping with the theme of diversity and inclusion, the challenge is accessible to young people aged 18 to 30 from all around the world, regardless of nationality or background.

The task should be completed by self-organized teams of three to five people, each with a team leader. Apart from the age requirement, there are no constraints on the squad composition.

How to Apply for the OxFID Global Youth Challenge

It is preferable to have a multimedia pitch (e.g., a video presentation) that is no more than 4 minutes long.

Other modalities of submission (for example, a written proposal) are also acceptable. Proposals should not exceed 1000 words in length (excluding bibliography).

Deadline: Participants must submit the OxFID Global Youth Challenge application by April 30, 2022, 2359 UTC.
