The Young Professional Development Program (YPDP) of the OPEC Fund is a structured two-year program that prepares young professionals from OPEC Fund member nations for a career in global development. It is looking for people that are passionate about and committed to international development. They must show academic distinction as well as significant professional experience.
It is particularly interested in hearing from those who have the passion and ambition to assist developing nations in overcoming their most urgent issues in the pursuit of social, environmental, and economic growth.

Requirements for the OPEC Young Professional Development Program in Austria
- At the time of application, OPEC Fund member country nationals must be 30 years old or younger.
- A Master’s degree from a reputed institution is required.
- Outstanding academic achievement
- Be able to communicate well in English.
- Be able to communicate in one or more languages.
- Have a minimum of three years of experience in the field.
- Engineering, Economics, Finance, Business Administration, Information Technology, Law, Human Resources, and any other related subject are examples of specializations pertinent to the OPEC Fund’s activities.
- Working in a worldwide and culturally diverse organization
- Understanding the mission of the OPEC Fund
- Willingness to serve the OPEC Fund for a minimum of two years after completing the program if chosen
