One World Scholarship Programme for Masters and Ph.D. Students (Opening Soon)

One World Scholarship Programme will be awarded to for Masters and Ph.D. students who are interested in development concerns.

Students from Africa, Asia, and Latin America who are interested in development concerns and enthusiastic about furthering their education are encouraged to apply for One World Scholarship Programme to study in Austria for the school year 2022/23.

Students from underdeveloped nations studying at universities in Salzburg or Tyrol are eligible for the One-World Scholarship Program. Its goal is to promote peaceful coexistence amongst individuals from various nations of origin by promoting equitable opportunity, discussion, intercultural knowledge, and collaboration. The next application period will begin on June 1, 2022.

The fellowship seeks to provide partial financial assistance to students from underdeveloped countries pursuing masters and doctorate degrees at public institutions or universities of applied sciences in the Salzburg and Tyrol areas. During the semester, Master’s students get 500 € and Ph.D. students receive 550 €.

The maximum length is equal to the curriculum’s specified duration + one semester.

The OWS is a multi-faceted program that includes scholarships and special study expenses, as well as extracurricular training and follow-up contacts.

Eligibility: To be eligible for One World Scholarship Programme, you must meet the following criteria:


  • A non-European developing country’s nationality (country list).
  • Demonstrate an interest in development and study specialization.
  • Demonstrate that you have a financial necessity.
  • Admission to a Master’s or Ph.D. program at a Salzburg or Tyrol university or university of applied sciences (Uni Salzburg, Uni Innsbruck, FH Salzburg, MCI, FH Kufstein).
  • Acceptable disposition for Ph.D. students.
  • Master’s degree students must be at least 30 years old (mothers must be 35 years old) and Ph.D. students must be at least 35 years old (mothers must be 40 years old) at the time of application.
  • “Student” residence permit.
