NTU Scholarships for International Degree Students in Taiwan 2022
For the academic year 2022/2023, applications are now being accepted for the NTU Scholarships for International Degree Students in Taiwan.
How to fund your stay in Taiwan is one of the issues you may have regarding studying at National Taiwan University. Fortunately, NTU offers a variety of scholarships to prospective students, many of which may be submitted at the same time as your application.
In addition, the Taiwanese government offers scholarships to overseas students.
You may be interested to learn that NTU is Taiwan’s number one university. In terms of both the range of academic subjects and the number of programs offered, it ranks first in the country.
It offers almost 200-degree programs in subjects spanning from basic sciences to humanities and social sciences.

Worth of Scholarship
This scholarship is classified into two categories.
- Tuition reimbursement plus a TWD 6,000 monthly stipend (USD 200)
- Waiver of tuition
The maximum amount of tuition and incidental charge subsidies each semester is subsidized. This varies per institution and may range from TWD 130,000 to TWD 130,000 for undergraduate, graduate, and doctorate students.
The remaining balance will be borne by the grant winners.
Requirements for the NTU Scholarships
- Students seeking admission in compliance with the “Regulations Regarding International Students Undertaking Studies in Taiwan” issued by the Ministry of Education.
- When a student’s prior year’s GPA is more than 3.2, they are already enrolled.
- If the student has only been enrolled for a few months, the prior semester’s grade will be used.
How to Apply
Freshmen should apply to the Office of International Affairs at the same time as they apply for admission.
Students who are currently enrolled are required to apply to the Office of International Affairs according to the deadlines and restrictions that are set each year.
