Nanyang Scholarship (CN Yang Scholars Programme) For Undergraduate in Singapore 2022
For the 2022/2023 academic session, Nanyang Technological University NTU in Singapore is accepting applications from excellent freshmen in science and engineering subjects for the Nanyang Scholarship (CN Yang Scholars Programme).
With an emphasis on technical innovation and scientific communication, the CNYSP develops future leaders at the intersection of science and engineering.
The curriculum curates interdisciplinary courses in mathematics, research, making-and-tinkering, internship, and global learning to educate students to lead in the next phase of technological growth, and is backed by a solid scientific and engineering foundation.
Scholars will embark on this one-of-a-kind adventure that will help them to make a difference in a variety of future occupations by embracing the spirit of the invention, perseverance, and social capital.

Worth of Scholarship
The scholarship is renewable for the length of the program as long as the scholarship recipient maintains a record of high academic achievement and outstanding behavior.
- Subsidized tuition expenses are fully covered (after Tuition Grant).
- Per academic year, a living stipend of S$6,500 is provided.
- Up to S$2,000 in housing allowance every academic year.
- (Only scholarship recipients who live in NTU hostels are eligible.)
- A travel grant of up to S$5,000 for an abroad program is available, subject to the Travel Grant Form’s terms and conditions.
- A computer allowance of S$1,750 is provided (one-off).
The CN Yang Scholars Program provides the following benefits:
- Four years of guaranteed residency in NTU halls of residence
- One semester of guaranteed international exchange
- A guaranteed final-year research study in another country, including flights, lodging, food, insurance, and visa expenses.
- From year one onwards, there will be opportunities for research attachments as well as a subsidy to attend an international conference.
- Except for the three-year bond required of all Singapore PRs and overseas students under the MOE Tuition Grant Scheme, there is no bond associated with the Scholarship.
Requirements for the Nanyang Scholarship (CN Yang Scholars Programme)
- All nationalities are welcome to apply.
- The CN Yang Scholars Program should be used by successful grantees.
Have excellent Singapore-Cambridge GCE ‘A’ level results, a diploma from a Singapore polytechnic, an NUS High School Diploma, an IB Diploma, or Year 12 comparable credentials. - Excellent extracurricular achievements.
- Possesses strong leadership characteristics and the ability to lead others.
How to Apply for the Nanyang Scholarship (CN Yang Scholars Programme)
Prior to completing a scholarship application, applicants must first submit an application for admission.
The scholarship application form may be located at the bottom of your online admissions application under the heading ‘Apply for Scholarship.’ You must use the application number issued to you to log in.
Please log on to their website to access the scholarship application form if you have booked an undergraduate degree program at NTU.
Following the completion of your application form, applicants must provide the following:
- Upload a passport-size picture that was taken recently (digital image). online submission of a referee’s report
- The appraisal must be performed by a teacher who is not a member of your family or a related.
