The application form for admission into Kogi State Polytechnic (KSP), Lokoja’s Higher National Diploma (HND) full-time/regular programs for the 2021/2022 academic session are currently on sale.

Kogi State Polytechnic HND Admission Requirements

Here are the requirements for candidates into the Kogi State Polytechnic

1.0 SCHOOL OF APPLIED SCIENCES HND ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Higher National Diploma in Computer Science (Two Years)

Candidates must have a National Diploma in Computer Science and a minimum of lower credit (CGPA of 2.50).

You must have five credits O/Level (NECO/ WAEC/ GCE/ NABTEB) in not more than two sittings, with English Language, Mathematics, and Physics as subjects.

Credit in any other Science or Social Science subject, as well as one (1) year of mandatory Industrial training, is also required.

Candidates with a PASS in ND must complete two (2) years of mandatory Industrial Training.

Admission to all HND programs, particularly for applicants from other schools, requires an ND Transcript.

Higher National Diploma in Statistics (Two Years)

Candidates must obtain a National Diploma in Statistics with a grade of C or below (CGPA of 2.50)

Five credits at O/Level (NECO/ WAEC/ GCE/ NABTEB) in no more than two sittings are needed, with English Language and Mathematics as well as any three additional Science or Social Science subjects.

Furthermore, the applicant must have completed a minimum of one (1) year of mandatory industrial training.

Candidates with a PASS in ND must complete two (2) years of mandatory Industrial Training.

Admission to all HND programs, particularly for applicants from other schools, requires an ND Transcript.

Higher National Diploma in Science and Laboratory Technology (Two Years)

Chemistry, Biochemistry, Microbiology, and Environmental Biology are all choices.

Candidates must have a National Diploma in Science Laboratory Technology and a lower credit score (CGPA of 2.50).

Five-credit O/Level (NECO/ WAEC/ GCE/ NABTEB) with English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, and Physics have taken in no more than two sittings.

Credit in any other Science or Social Science course, as well as one (1) year of mandatory Industrial Training, is also needed.

Candidates with a PASS in ND must complete two (2) years of mandatory Industrial Training.

Admission to all HND programs, particularly for applicants from other schools, requires an ND Transcript.

2.o SCHOOL OF ART, DESIGN AND PRINTING HND ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Candidates for the Higher National Diploma (HND) in Industrial Design with options and Fine Arts with options (2.0(a) and 2.0(b) must have a National Diploma in Industrial Design or Fine Arts and a minimum of lower credit (CGPA of 2.50).

Five credits O/Level (NECO/ WAEC/ GCE/ NABTEB) in not more than two sittings, which must include English Language, Mathematics, Fine Arts or Visual Arts, Chemistry, History, Biology, Clothing and Textiles, and English Literature

Candidates must also complete one (1) year of mandatory industrial training.

Candidates with a PASS in ND and have completed two (2) years of mandatory Industrial Training.

Admission to all HND programs, particularly for applicants from other schools, requires an ND Transcript.

3.0 SCHOOL OF ENVIRONMENTAL TECHNOLOGY

Candidates for the HND in Urban and Regional Planning must have a National Diploma in Urban and Regional Planning and a minimum of lower credit (CGPA of 2.50)

Five credits at O/Level (NECO/ WAEC/ GCE/ NABTEB) in not more than two sittings, including English Language, Mathematics, and Geography, as well as any two of the following subjects: Economics, Physics, Biology/Agricultural Science, Fine Art. Candidates must also complete one (1) year of mandatory industrial training.

Candidates with a PASS in ND must complete two (2) years of mandatory Industrial Training. Admission to all HND programs, particularly for applicants from other schools, requires an ND Transcript.

4.0 SCHOOL OF ENGINEERING TECHNOLOGY HND ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Higher National Diploma in Mineral Resources Engineering (Two Years)

Candidates must have a National Diploma in Mineral Resources Engineering with a minimum of Lower Credit and five credits at O/L (NECO/WASC/SSCE/GCE/NABTEC) in not more than two sittings, with Mathematics, Chemistry, and any three subjects from Metal-work, Technical–Drawing, Basic Electronics, Geography, Statistics, Additional Mathematics, and English Language.

Candidates must have completed one year of mandatory Industrial Training or have passed the ND with two years of Industrial Training.

Higher National Diploma in Metallurgical Engineering (Two Years)

Same as (4.1a) but qualification must be National Diploma in Metallurgical Engineering.

5.0 SCHOOL OF MANAGEMENT STUDIES HND ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Higher National Diploma in Accountancy (Two Years)

Candidates must have a National Diploma in Accounting and a minimum of a lower credit rating (CGPA of 2.50).

Five credits at O/Level (NECO/ WAEC/ GCE/ NABTEB) in not more than two sittings, with English Language and Mathematics as a requirement.

Credit in any other three Science or Social Science topics, as well as one (1) year of mandatory Industrial training, is also needed.

Candidates with a PASS in ND must complete two (2) years of mandatory Industrial Training. Admission to all HND programs, particularly for applicants from other schools, requires an ND Transcript.

Higher National Diploma in Business Administration and Management (Two Years)

The same as (5.1a), except that the qualification must be a National Diploma in Business Administration or similar programs.

Higher National Diploma in Library and Information Science(Two Years)

Similar to (5.1a), but with a National Diploma in Library and Information Scientific and at least a credit in one science subject at O’level.

Higher National Diploma in Office Technology and Management (Two Years)

The qualifications must be a National Diploma in Office Technology and Management, similar to (5.1a) above.

Higher National Diploma in Public Administration (Two Years)

Same as (5.1a), but you must have a National Diploma in Public Administration and at least a credit in Government or Civic Education at O’level.

Application forms for normal programs are available online for a fee of N6,500.00 in Zenith Bank made payable to Kogi State Polytechnic, Lokoja.

The cost of the HND screening is N2,500.
