For the academic year 2022/2023, the Australian National University is accepting applications for the Kenneth Freeman PhD Scholarship.
The Kenneth Freeman PhD Scholarship Award is given out by the Research School of Astronomy and Astrophysics (RSAA) once a year.

Worth of Scholarship
Paid time off entitlements:
- 20 working days off for leisure
- Medical leave for ten days
- An additional medical leave of 60 working days
- 60 days of paid parental leave
- 5 days of parental leave with your partner
- International students are eligible for a Dependent Kid Allowance of $3,000 per year per child (maximum of $9000).
- Relocation assistance (limited to $1000 for local students and $2500 for overseas students)
- Thesis Allowance of up to $500
Requirements for Kenneth Freeman PhD Scholarship
Each year, the Award will be given to a prospective or current domestic or overseas student who:
- is enrolled or planning to enroll full-time in a program leading to a Doctor of Philosophy in Astronomy and Astrophysics at the ANU College of Science’s Research School of Astronomy and Astrophysics; and
- has proved First Class Honours (H1) or similar qualifications.

There is no need to apply since all qualified applicants who have shown interest will be evaluated automatically.
