Human-Centered Artificial Intelligence was founded to fund cutting-edge AI research that crosses disciplines or fields.

As a result, in addition to great academics studying core disciplinary subjects, they attempt to hire and promote bright researchers working at intersections generally neglected by conventional academic departments.

Assistant Professors (Research) who will be linked with both HAI and a regular department are HAI Junior Fellows (e.g., Computer Science or Psychology).

They will contribute to HAI’s purpose through doing and publishing research, teaching undergraduate and/or graduate programs, mentoring students, and engaging in the university’s vibrant intellectual life.

Becoming an HAI Fellow will give an exceptional springboard for a young researcher’s career, with considerable research assistance, student access, and a light teaching burden.
