The World Bank Group’s Climate Change Action Plan, which complements the Africa Climate Business Plan, pledges that 35 percent of the World Bank Group’s support will go directly to climate action over the next five years.

Because if inclusive, climate-informed development is not implemented quickly throughout the area, 43 million more people might be forced into poverty by 2030.
