FUTA Notice on Temporary Closure – The Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA) has issued a special notice to all students about the university’s temporary closing.
FUTA Notice on Temporary Closure
In view of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) current strike and the consequent halt of academic and associated activities, the Vice-Chancellor, in conjunction with the Management, has approved the University’s closure with effect from Thursday, March 17th, 2022 until further notice.
All students who are still living in halls of residence are required to vacate their rooms within the next 24 hours.
Students are encouraged to stay informed about the situation, and information on the resumption of academic activities will be provided through existing means as soon as possible.
The administration wishes the students safe travels to their various destinations.
