Federal University Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE) Vice-Chancellor Denies Resumption Rumour
Prof. Abayomi Sunday Fasina, Vice-Chancellor (VC) of the Federal University Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE), has debunked a rumour circulating among both prospective and current students of the University that the Management has allegedly directed students to prepare for their exams in the first week of this month via text message.
The statement said, “FUOYE to resume school on April 4th, 2022 despite the ongoing warming strike.” The VC had agreed to end the strike at this school so that students may study for their upcoming examinations.”
The VC quickly responded with a statement from Wole Balogun, the VC’s Special Adviser on Media Matters, denying the rumour, saying: “It is not possible, ASUU is on strike.” Because ASUU is now on strike, we are unable to accomplish anything at school. This isn’t even close to being feasible.”
