Fulbright Romania Student Award 2023-2024 for Masters Study in the U.S. (Funded)
Are you from Romania and interested in pursuing a master’s degree or conducting research in the United States? Now is the time to apply for the Fulbright Romania Student Award Competition 2023-2024 for Masters Study in the United States.
Applicants must be Romanian BA, MA, or PhD graduates from authorized public or private universities. BA students in their last year of undergraduate education are also encouraged to apply. The program will last for one academic year (9 months, starting August 2023).

Costs
- International travel, tuition and university fees within defined budget restrictions, books and supplies allowance, accident/sickness insurance, and a living stipend for one academic year are all included in the Fulbright Student Award.
- Second-year expenditures for Romanian Fulbright master’s students may be funded if funds are available and verification of high academic status during the first year of study is provided.
Fulbright Romania Student Award | Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants must be Romanian nationals; green card holders and anyone with dual citizenship (Romanian and American) are not eligible.
- Have a Bachelor’s degree (BA students in their last year of undergraduate studies are eligible to apply);
- Have a good command of the English language
- If you’re seeking a job in law, you’ll need a degree in that discipline.
How to Apply for the Fulbright Romania Student Award
Each candidate will be needed to provide the following documents:
- A completed online application;
- Three letters of recommendation from university professors and/or other recognized Romanian or foreign professionals, submitted directly in the online application by referees or mailed as signed official paper copies (by May 9, 2022, postmarked); letters of recommendation are also accepted via email ([email protected]) if they are sent directly by the recommenders as scanned signed documents by May 9, 2022; letters of recommendation are also accepted via email ([email protected]) if they are sent directly by the
- Academic transcripts and diplomas, with translations, for all undergraduate and graduate levels, scanned and uploaded to the online application by May 9, 2022; official paper transcripts should be sent at a later date, only by those who are selected for interview; high school transcripts and diplomas are not required.
