Friedrich Ebert Foundation Scholarship for Study in Germany (Funded) – 2021/2022

Africans, Asians, Latin Americans, and Eastern Europeans are among the applicants. Students from any subject area are eligible to apply if they have outstanding school or academic achievement, a desire to study in Germany, and a commitment to and practice social democratic principles.

Scholarships are given to high-achieving students and come with a full seminar program to assist applicants to improve their social and intellectual abilities. Another advantage of the sponsorship is individual assistance from an on-site liaison professor. Up to 40 students are sponsored by FES each year.

In Bachelor’s, Diplom, Magister, and state examination programs, they are paid EUR 830 per month; in Master’s programs, they are paid EUR 850 per month. Furthermore, health insurance expenses are covered, and students with children get a EUR 276 family stipend. The scholarship does not need a repayment.

Groups to be Targeted

Students from Africa, Asia, Latin America, and Eastern Europe, in particular. The aptitudes and personalities of the applicants show great potential for a successful academic or professional career. Candidates must also demonstrate a commitment to social democratic principles.

Requirements for the Friedrich Ebert Foundation Scholarship -2022

  • Entrance to or enrollment in a German state or state-recognized higher-education institution.
  • A working understanding of German, despite the fact that the courses are taught in English. This entails a ‘Deutsche Sprachprüfung für den Hochschulzugang’ (DSH level 2), a ‘Test Deutsch als Fremdsprache’.

The maximum financing term is in accordance with BAföG rules.

Scholarship Worth
