Swansea University is accepting applications for the EPSRC UK PhD Scholarship in Nanotechnology for the academic year 2022/23.

Graduates interested in the use of AI in biology and medicine will have the chance to get expertise in the creation of open-source platforms and engage with industry partners to adapt them to real-world difficulties via this initiative.

Worth of Scholarship

This scholarship covers the entire cost of UK tuition costs as well as a £15,609 yearly stipend.

EPSRC PhD Scholarship | Eligibility Criteria

  • Candidates should have a 2.1 undergraduate degree in Engineering or a related scientific subject (or a non-UK equivalent as specified by Swansea University).
  • IELTS 6.5 overall (with at least 5.5 in each component) or Swansea recognized equivalent, if applicable.

How to Apply for the EPSRC PhD Scholarship

You must submit the following documents as part of your online application (please do not send them through email):

  • Monitoring Form for Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) (online form)
  • CV
  • Certificates of completion and transcripts (if you are currently studying for a degree, screenshots of your grades to date are sufficient)
  • A cover letter with a ‘Supplementary Personal Statement’ explaining why the role is a good fit for your talents and expertise, as well as how you plan to progress the project.
  • Two letters of recommendation (academic or prior job) on letterhead or on the Swansea University reference form. Please note that referrals mentioning private email addresses, such as Hotmail, will not be accepted. Referees should provide their employer’s email address for reference verification.
  • Proof that you’ve met the English Language requirement (if applicable).
  • a copy of your residence visa in the UK (if applicable)
