Applications are solicited from suitably qualified applicants for admission into the Ekiti State University (EKSU), Ado-Ekiti, Nigeria, Part-Time Bachelor’s Degree Programs recognized by the National Universities Commission (NUC) for the 2021/2022 academic session.

  • Applicants must have five (5) credit passes in SSCE/GCE/NABTEB (O’level). English Language, Mathematics, Economics, and two additional courses from Geography, Government, Principles of Accountancy, Commerce, History, Business Studies, Tourism, Civic Education, Yoruba, Hospitality Management, and Computer Studies must be passed.

9. B.Sc. Entrepreneurial Studies

  • Five (5) credit passes in SSCE/GCE/NABTEB (O’ Level). English Language, Mathematics, Economics/Commerce, and any two additional subjects from Geography, Government, History, Business Studies, Tourism, Civic Education, Yoruba, Hospitality Management, and Computer Studies must be included in the passes.

10. B.Sc. Economics

  • Five (5) credit passes in Mathematics, Economics, English Language, and two additional subjects, one of which must be in the Social Sciences, at (O’ level)SSCE/GCE/NABTEB Examinations.

11.B.Sc. Sociology

  • Five (5) credit passes in English language, mathematics, any two social science subjects, and any other subject in (O’ level)SCE/GCE/NABTEB Examinations.

12. B.Sc. Psychology and Behavioural Studies

  • Five (5) credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Biology, and any other two subjects (one of which must be a Social Science subject) at (O’ level)SSCE/GCE/NABTEB Examinations.

13. B.Sc. Geography and Planning Science

  • Five (5) O’ level credit passes in Mathematics, English Language, Geography, and two other subjects, one of which must be from the Social Sciences, in SSCE/GCE/NABTEB Examinations.

14. B.Sc. Political Science

  • Five (5) O’ level credit passes in Mathematics, English Language, Government, and two additional subjects, one of which must be a Social Science subject, in SSCE/GCE/NABTEB Examinations.

15. B.A. History and International Studies

  • Five (5) O’ level credit passes in English language, history/government, and three other subjects, one of which must be an arts subject, in SSCE/GCE/NABTEB Examinations.

16. B.A. French

  • Five (5) O’ level credit passes in English language and any other four subjects in SSCE/GCE/NABTEB Examinations

17. B.A. Philosophy

  • Five (5) O’ level credit passes in five subjects in the SSCE/GCE/NABTEB English Language Examination, with at least a Pass in Mathematics and credit passes in any four other subjects.

18. B. A. English and Literary Studies

  • Five (5) O’ level credit passes in English Language and Literature and any three subjects from Yoruba, Government, History, Christian Religious Studies, Islamic Religious Studies, French, Hausa, Igbo, Mathematics, Economics, and Civic Education in SSCE/GCE/NABTEB Examinations.

19. B. A. Religious Studies

  • Five (5) O’ level credit passes in English language and any other four subjects in SSCE/GCE/NABTEB Examinations.

20. B. Sc. Mathematics

  • Five (5) O’ level credit passes in English, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, Biology/Agricultural Science in the SSCE/GCE/NABTEB Examination.

21.B. Sc. Statistics

  • Five (5) O’ level credit passes in English, Mathematics, Physics, and any two additional subjects from Biology, Agricultural Science, Chemistry, Geography, Economics, Government, and Civic Education in SSCE/GCE/NABTEB Examinations.

22.B. Sc. Environmental Management

  • Five (5) O’ level credit passes in English language mathematics in SSCE/GCE/NABTEB examinations. Geography plus two additional subjects, one of which must be from the Social/Management Science department.

23. B. Sc. Tourism and Hospitality Management

  • Five (5) O’ level credit passes in English language, mathematics, and any other three subjects in SSCE/GCE/NABTEB Examinations, two of which must be from the Faculties of Science, Management, and Social Sciences.

REQUIREMENTS FOR ENTRY INTO EKSU’S FOUR YEAR PROGRAMS

For the planned program of study, applicants must meet the O’ Level criteria listed in (1-23). Candidates must also possess the following qualifications:

  • National Diploma in relevant fields from a recognized institution with a minimum of Lower Credit

OR

  • Two GCE/A level passes in relevant topics are required.

OR

  • Higher National Diploma in relevant fields from a recognized institution with a minimum of Lower Credit.

REQUIREMENTS FOR ENTRY INTO THE EKSU TOP-UP PROGRAMME

Applicants must meet the entrance standards for the desired programs of study at the O’ Level.

Candidates must also have a Higher National Diploma in related subjects from a recognized institution with a minimum of Lower Credit or a first degree in a relevant field from a recognized university.

How to Apply for Admission to EKSU’s Part-Time Degree Program

The cost of Ekiti State University (EKSU) Part-Time Admission Form is N17,100.

  1. Visit eksuportal.eksu.edu.ng to apply for a Pre-degree in 2021/2022. You will be directed to the online application portal once you click on ADMISSION.
  2. Create an account by filling in the essential information. Make sure to provide your valid email address and personal phone number; you will get a verification email.
  3. After completing the signup process, click LOGIN to access your dashboard. Applicants must login using their CORRECT Email or JAMB Registration Number as the ‘username‘ and the password supplied after registration.
  4. Select the Type of Application (2021/2022 Part-Time application) on your dashboard. Payment for the part-time application form is required on the next page; click Pay Now to be redirected to the Remita online payment system.
  5. When your payment is successful, the application form will appear. On the form page, attach your 1′′ x 1′′ coloured passport photos with red background in JPEG format only.
  6. Upload your WAEC/SSCE, NECO, and NABTEB(O’ Level result) received in not more than two sittings.
  7. Preview, confirm, submit, and print the completed screening form once you’ve gone through the preceding steps.

NOTE:

  • For all courses, the O’ Level requirements must be completed in no more than two sittings.
  • Except for B.Sc. Computer Science, which is exclusively offered on weekdays, all listed programs are offered on a PART-TIME basis.

The deadline for submissions is July 31, 2022.
