The Catholic Relief Services (CRS) Junior Professionals Program 2022 is now accepting applications.
The Junior Professionals Program provides skilled, professional women in West Africa with the chance to turn their enthusiasm for international relief and development into a career with Catholic Relief Services.
Each Junior Professional will develop essential skills while working alongside experienced employees and supporting key initiatives over the course of a year. As they prepare for roles of greater responsibility with CRS, junior professionals will benefit from robust mentorship and regional networking.
Benefits
Practical training: Junior Professionals will improve and expand their abilities in project design, program management, monitoring, evaluation, accountability, learning, partnership building, and operations via hands-on experience and thorough training.
Mentorship: Each Junior Professional will be assigned a mentor who will assist them with advice, feedback, and career counseling.
Customized professional experience: Junior Professionals will enhance their skills in a specialized area relating to their professional development goals, and strategically position themselves for future employment with CRS, in addition to the core training.
Regional networking: All Junior Professionals will be a member of a regional community of practice where they may discuss their work’s accomplishments, difficulties, and lessons gained.
CRS Junior Professionals Program | Eligibility Criteria
- Women from West Africa are welcome to apply.
- Applicants must hold a Master’s degree in a related discipline (e.g., economic development, agriculture, health, business, administration, finance, human resources, supply chain) to be considered.
- Within 24 months of the program’s commencement date (October 2022), I received a Master’s degree;
- Six months of related job experience (internships, practicums, voluntary or paid labor, for example);
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in the country’s official business language (French or English);
- a citizen of one of the participating countries;
- Performs well in a multicultural team context;
- Availability to travel (up to 10-15 percent of the time).

- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and research abilities
- Results-oriented, proactive, resourceful, and agile
- Excellent facilitation and presentation skills
