For the academic year 2022/2023, Carleton University is asking prospective undergraduate students to apply for Carleton University Scholarships of Excellence.

The Chancellor’s Scholarship, the Richard Lewar Entrance Scholarship, the Carleton University Scholarship of Excellence, the Carleton University SHAD Scholarship, the Riordon Scholarship, and the Collins Prestige Scholarship are among the many scholarships available at Carleton University.

Worth of Award for Carleton University Scholarships
- Chancellor’s Scholarships are available in ten different categories. $30,000 (four years at $7,500) *90% renewable, with extracurricular activities available throughout secondary school.
- Seven Entrance Scholarships from Richard Lewar $21,500 ($6,500 for the first year, $5,000 for the second, third, and fourth years) *90% renewable, with extracurricular activities available throughout secondary school.
- Excellence Scholarships from Carleton University
$5,000 x four years = $20,000
- *90% renewable, with extracurricular activities available throughout secondary school.
- SHAD Scholarships at Carleton University
$5,000 x four years = $20,000
- *90% renewable, with extracurricular activities available throughout secondary school.
- Riordon Scholarships are available.
- Full tuition in the first, second, third, and fourth years*Renewable90 percent of the time, as well as extracurricular activities throughout secondary school.
- A Prestige Scholarship from Collins is available.
- In the first, second, third, and fourth years, full tuition is available*Renewable90 percent of the time, and extracurricular activities are available throughout secondary school*.
- Scholarships are renewable if you maintain a grade point average of 10.0 each year. ** Scholarships are capped at the entire tuition charge level for Canadian domestic students.
Eligibility
- Only students who are joining Carleton straight from high school or a CEGEP will be eligible for a prestige scholarship.
- These grants are not available to students who have already attended a post-secondary educational institution (college or university).
- To be considered for any prestige scholarship, you must have a 90 percent or above entrance average.
- The selection committee will also look at the variety of extracurricular activities you participate in in your community or at your secondary school.
- All prestige scholarships are applied for using the same application form.
How To Apply Carleton University Scholarships
- One application form is used for all the prestige scholarships and it is a fillable pdf form. Download Pdf below
- Students submitting an application must have an admissions average of 90% or better plus have demonstrated leadership
- roles in their extracurricular activities throughout secondary school.
- Students should not include any additional attachments (e.g. resumes, portfolios, photos, certificates, etc.). However, if necessary,
- students may re-type the questions with their answers (this will not be considered an attachment).
- Individuals completing the reference for the student may submit their recommendation as a separate attachment (only one
- reference per candidate will be considered).
