BIEA Research Fellowships for Early Career Researchers from East Africa 2022

For the BIEA Research Fellowships for Early Career Researchers from East Africa in 2022, the British Institute in Eastern Africa is accepting applications.

BIEA Research Fellowships

The BIEA is looking for a few early-career researchers who have finished their PhD studies within the previous five years.

This includes time off for family obligations or other necessary work pauses.

In turn, researchers will fill a number of full-time one-year Research Fellow posts at the Nairobi-based research center.

Candidates should work in any humanities or social science subject.

They must, however, be able to show that their study is relevant to one of the six Research Themes:

  • Retelling the Past
  • Changing Environments
  • Urban Lives
  • Technologies of Politics
  • Next Generations
  • Epidemics, pandemics, and epizootics

Worth of Award

For the purposes of this fellowship, a competitive salary and benefits package will be given.

This will, as predicted, be suitable for the fellows’ experience and level in their careers.
