The African Cultural Fund 32bis ACF-ACADEMY for Visual Artists in North Africa in 2022 is now accepting applications.

African Cultural Fund 32bis

This initiative intends to teach and assist ten young visual artists from Northern Africa, notably Algeria, Egypt, Libya, Morocco, Mauritania, and Tunisia (50 percent women, 50 percent males). It also intends to assist and teach these young artists in the development of their creative approach, as well as to improve their theoretical knowledge and professional abilities, with a special emphasis on an international context.

  • Various specialists from the art industry, including prominent contemporary artists, scholars, gallery directors, collectors, and museum curators, will provide entrepreneurship training workshops.

African Cultural Fund 32bis | Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must satisfy the following requirements to be considered for the ACF Academy:

  • You must be a citizen of one of the following countries: Algeria, Egypt, Libya, Morocco, Mauritania, and Tunisia are all countries in North Africa.
  • You must be between the ages of 20 and 35.
  • Practicing visual arts
  • Have at least 3 years of creative experience and be in the early phases of their career or in the process of getting professional.
  • Have past exhibition participation experience.

How to Apply for the African Cultural Fund 32bis

It’s worth noting that the application must contain the following:

  • a copy of your resume (Curriculum Vitae)
  • a photocopy of the applicant’s ID card (or equivalent documentation indicating Full Name, Nationality, and Date of Birth)
  • motivational letter (350 words maximum)
  • Describe your visual practice (what are your media, aesthetic lines, and visual approaches?) in a concise presentation. (maximum 200 words)
  • Portfolio (a showcase of creative work and experience) (12 pages maximum)

Deadline: Applications for the African Cultural Fund must be submitted by April 29th, 2022.
