ADB Scholarship

International students can apply for a fully-funded scholarship from the Asian Development Bank Japan Scholarship 2022-2023 to study a postgraduate degree program. Applicants must state the academic institution they are applying to and if they want to be considered for the ADB–JSP Scholarship. This ADB Scholarship is only open to applicants from ADB developing countries. There is no requirement for the highest CGPA.

There are 140 Postgraduate Scholarships available. You will have the incredible opportunity to study in one of the nine ADB-JSP affiliated countries, which include Hong Kong, China, India, Japan, New Zealand, Pakistan, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and the United States. ADB Japan Scholarships will provide 300 scholarships to highly qualified and deserving candidates. The Academic Institution will examine and rank the applications using its own selection criteria while keeping in mind the ADB’s eligibility and selection criteria.

Requirements for the ADB Scholarship | Eligibility Criteria

The applicant should be:

  • Be a national of an ADB borrowing member country who is also eligible for a Japanese ODA scholarship.
  • Not being a dual citizen
  • Have been accepted into a Designated Institution’s authorized master’s program.
  • Having a bachelor’s degree is a plus.
  • At the time of application, you must not be older than 35 years old.
  • Maintain excellent health.
  • After completing his or her studies, he or she must agree to return to his or her native country and work for at least two (2) years.
  • Staff from ADB–JSP Designated Institutions are not eligible;
  • He or she must not be living or working in a nation other than his or her own, and he or she must not be enrolled in graduate degree programs.
