AnitaB.org is accepting nominations for the Abie Award for Women Technologists in the United States in 2022.

The award recognizes and honors the achievements of female and non-binary engineers, as well as those who assist them in their careers. It honors notable leaders whose accomplishments and life stories indicate that everyone of us, individually and collectively, has the potential to transform our world.

The following are the categories for the Abie Awards in 2022:

Abie Award for Technical Leadership

A woman or non-binary technologist who has led or produced a product, method, or invention that has had a significant influence on business or society is honored. Nominees must work on initiatives that demand a high level of technical expertise and show a commitment to expanding the number of women in technology.

Abie Award for Vision Students

Honors young women and non-binary technologists who are committed to a future in which those who develop and construct technology reflect the people and cultures for whom they are designed. This grant is open to undergraduate and graduate students.

Abie Award for Change Agents

An excellent international woman or non-binary technologist (non-US resident with a focus on poor nations) who has developed or extended possibilities for girls and women in technology will be honored.

Abie Award for Emerging Leaders

This award is given to a non-tenured junior faculty member who has done high-quality research and has had a substantial influence on diversity.

Abie Award for Technology Entrepreneurship

This prize is given to a person who has built a technological enterprise. By applying, creating, or promoting technology, creative processes, or new business models, she alters markets.

Worth of Scholarship

Each winner will get a monetary award (varying from $15,000 to $50,000) as well as an invitation to talk at GHC.

Abie Award | Eligibility Criteria

You may nominate yourself for an award as a candidate. You may also nominate yourself for the same award several times.
All candidates, however, must be at least 18 years old and reside outside the United States.
You may also propose a corporate employee for the prize. Fortunately, you don’t have to collaborate with anybody.
