2022 Postgraduate Research Scholarship at the University of Sydney will be given to excellent international higher degree research (HDR) students within the Faculty.

The International Tuition Fee Research Scholarship is available from the University of Sydney’s Faculty of Engineering to qualifying international students enrolled in a Postgraduate Research Program for the academic year 2022/2023.

This scholarship will cover the costs of academic tuition for excellent international higher degree research (HDR) students enrolled in the Faculty of Engineering.

This scholarship has been created by the University of Sydney Faculty of Engineering to grant academic tuition fees to excellent international higher degree research (HDR) students within the Faculty.

The scholarship will cover academic course expenses as well as the Student Services and Amenities Fee (SSAF), provided that academic performance is adequate in the following areas:

Up to four research periods for a successful masters by the research recipient (no possible extension).
Up to 12 research periods for a PhD recipient with a possible two research period extension.

2022 Postgraduate Research Scholarship Eligibility

Candidates must be international students.
Applicants must receive an unconditional offer of full-time admission.
PhD or master’s by research program with the intention of transferring to a PhD when the first progress review interview is completed satisfactorily.
Applicants must provide proof that their stipend allowance is paid by a third-party sponsor or is financed by the institution.
Applicants must apply for an RTP scholarship and be evaluated for one.
Applicants must not have received an RTP or comparable main scholarship that covers academic course expenses.

Applicants are to note that Engineering HDR students who can provide evidence of their stipend allowance being paid by a third-party sponsor or university-funded will be considered for this scholarship.
