2022 Africa Scholarship Program at University of Essex – UK is available for outstanding African students who want to study a degree program at the institution.

The 2022 Africa scholarship program will be awarded by the University of Essex in the United Kingdom to outstanding African students who want to study a degree program at the institution.

Whether you are from one of the countries listed below, please review the academic criteria to determine if you are qualified.

Ghana

  • CGPA 3.0/4.0 or above

Nigeria

  • CGPA 3/5 or above

Other member states of the African Union

  • 2:1 or above (or equivalent as defined by the Postgraduate Admissions selection criteria)

Eligibility: Interested applicants must meet all of the following conditions:

  • To calculate fees, you must be identified as an international student.
  • Be a citizen of an African country (designated as a member of the African Union) and live in an African country on a regular basis.
  • Be completely self-sufficient in your studies.
  • Be a graduate of any African nation or any of the above-mentioned countries.
  • Be submitting an application for a full-time Master’s program beginning in 2022-23 (excluding MBA).
  • Fulfill the academic requirements outlined in the table below:
  1. Ghana: CGPA 3.0/4.0 or above.
  2. Nigeria: CGPA 3/5 or above.
  3. Other member states of the African Union: 2:1 or above (or equivalent as defined by our Postgraduate Admissions selection criteria).
  • If you are a citizen of an African country and meet the following qualifications, you will be considered for this award:
  1. from a recognized UK university, other than Essex, with a 2:1 or above, or
  2. from a recognized university with a 2:1 or above (or equivalent as defined by our Postgraduate Admissions selection criteria) or from any of the following countries: Bangladesh, Brazil, Canada, Chile, China, Columbia, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Malaysia, Mexico, Nepal, Norway, Pakistan, Russia, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, USA, Vietnam.

Application Process: Applicants who have firmly accepted a place offer by September 16, 2022 (for a start in October 2022) or January 6, 2023 (for a start in January 2023) and have satisfied the academic requirements for admission will be considered for these scholarships.
